On Friday August 17, a delegation of ENEA was invited by the Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies in Energy (IMDEA Energy) at its facilities located in the Technology Park of Mostoles. This institution is born in the Madrid region for different projects in the field of energy, especially directed to renewable and clean technologies, a sector in which it operates ENEA. As a potential partner, ENEA Grupo®, with over 15 years in the industry, now offers small wind turbines and mini hydro able to fulfill the main objectives of IMDEA: to reduce external dependence, through energy savings and self-consumption, and to mitigate economic and environmental impacts.
To develop their work, IMDEA has different research units and a large staff of professionals and experts in all areas of engineering internally, complemented by a wide network of collaborations with companies and research centers, also internationally. As a result of this meeting, ENEA studied conducting future R + D + i as a partner of IMDEA in fields as diverse as solar thermal, small wind or small hydro. This was an exploratory first step in finding synergies that are expected to crystallize in the near future into marketable and profitable social and economic projects, especially at local level.
Different media have echoed the news: Madrid Network, among others.
